The Clara Walker's
Rodeo City Music Hall
Outstanding Performance Award

These awards are given out at the anniversary show each year. It is awarded to those who have done an outstanding job
throughout the year as an entertainer, vocalist and performer. A lot goes into the decision making of who gets this award as many
entertainers cross our stage. This is to acknowledge those who go the extra mile.

Certificates were also awarded to other entertainers for
their outstanding efforts throughout the year, as well as
those behind the scenes that make RCMH run smoothly.

One of the special awards this year was the Dorothy
McElroy Award, named for the late Dorothy McElroy.
Ms.
Dorothy, as she was called, loved classic country music.
"I was so pleased to present this award to Ron Vice in
honor of Ms. Dorothy," said Karol. One of Dorothy's
favorite country legends was Bill Anderson, who she had
the pleasure of meeting at RCMH last summer before she
passed away.

Another special award went to Ms. Nancy Johnson. "Ms.
Nancy is such a special, spirited person that RCMH
wanted to honor this year" . Nancy is known
for dancing to her favorite songs, on the front row below
the stage, before she tips a singer.

Mayor John Monaco also made a surprise visit to
RCMH.     Monaco presented RCMH with a
proclamation from the City of Mesquite, declaring
June 6, 2009 as Rodeo City Music Hall Day.
Mayor Monaco has always been a strong supporter of
RCMH and was named the 2008 Man of the Year at last
year’s award show.
